- Span se Program:
- 12 Augustus 2012 – Vetrek na Roemenië.
- 16 tot 19 Augustus 2012 – Voorbereidings-kompetisie by Lake Corbu.
- 21 Augustus – Aankoms in Suid Afrika.
- 14 September – Vetrek na Roemenië.
- 27 - 30 September – Wêreld Kampioenskappe.
- 2 Oktober 2012 – Aankoms in Suid Afrika.
- * Eksterne faktore soos obstruksies
The team are ready for the start of the practice competition which starts 16 August 2012. All of the freight, baits and camping were received in good order and the members made all the needed preparation.
The lake is well prepared for the competition - the organization in control of the event has done a very good job.
We struggled to obtain all the needed raw seeds, so we've had to settle with corn... of course we also did the needed cooking thereof.
The drawing of the pegs takes place tomorrow, so the guys are looking very forward to it.
- The purpose of the practice session was to establish a game plan, so the team had no direct intention of winning the competition. During the session we realized that the fish in the dam have a preference for specific feed and baits. After the first 24 hours of the session, it was clear that our approach towards this dam would have to change. Hennie and the team contributed some hard work towards determining what specific game-plan changes would need to be made.
- The finishing results of the preliminary competition did not meet our best standards and thus weren't favourable, but the objectives we set out for it in terms of it being a practice session, were fully met. The team now feel that they know precisely what & what not to do, come the World Championships.
- Departure to Romania: The team will be in the International Departure Terminal at OR Tambo International Airport on Friday 21 September at about 19:00 SAST.
- Arrival back in South Africa: The team will arrive back at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday 2 October at 9:50.
- * A sone 7. Gilbert and Loutjie
